Bono
Exacta is the Company within the Bono Group specialized
in the design and manufacturing of Metering Pumps and Dosing Systems.
Established in 1958 as an industrial boiler manufacturen the Bono
Group completed very soon the original Thermal Division (Bono Energia)
with the Ecology Division (Bono Sistemi) and the Pump Division (Bono
Exacta).
The
Products
Specialized in the design and manufacturing of dosing and transfer
pumps and systems, Bono Exacta offers a whole range of plunger and
diaphragm pumps with flow rates from 0.6 Iph to 60,000 Iph and pressures
up to 1,200 bar. The product range is completed by installations and
dosing systems, including units for the preparation, dilution, storage
and dosing of chemicals for the water treatment; furthermore Bono
Exacta can design and manufacture complex complete systems for the
following applications: thermal, power and desalination plants, petrochemical
and chemical industry, civil or industrial water treatment, agriculture,
food and beverages preparation.
Bono
Exacta metering pumps consist of pump head, mechanism
with the manual flow-rate adjustment device, gearbox and motor. The
whole range of Bono Exacta pumps is manufactured in accordance to
the API 675 International Standards. Each single pump is functionally
tested and certified before delivery, to ensure the consistent product
quality.

Mechanical return mechanism
Simplicity and Robustness
The mechanical design of the mechanism, selected for its simplicity,
reduces maintenance; it is robust and well suited for heavy industrial
continuos duties.
Accuracy
The flow rate can be regulated by changing the piston stroke length;
the variation of the stroke can be made from O to 100% with the pump
in operation or at rest. From 10 to 100% the accuracy is ±
1%, in conformance to API 675 Standards.

Spring return mechanism
Linearity
Diaphragm and piston pumps are positive displacement pumps, therefore
the output rate is almost independent from the discharge pressure.

Automatic
and Remote Flow Rate Regulation
The pumps can be fitted with several regulation
devices, to meet the Customers' requirements:
• pneumatic positioner, control signal 3*15 p.s.L;
• electric servomotor, control signal 4+20 mA, 0+10 V;
• inverter drive for AC electric motors;
• mechanical or hydraulic speed

Packed Plunger and
Piston Pump Heads:
a Competitive Solution
Packed plunger liquid ends are made, as a standard,
of stainless steel, plungers can be chromium or ceramic coated orcompletely
in ceramic. Packings can be chosen among a variety of materials: elastomers,
PTFE, Kevlar, to match the aggressiveness of the pumped liquid and
its temperature; the relevant connections forflushing or drain areavailable.
The pump head is divided from the driving mechanism by an open space,
preventing the pumped liquid to pollute thelubricatingoil.
These pumps offer a Competitive solution with the best ratio between
performance and cost.

Diaphragm Pump Heads:
a Seal-less Solution
Awide range of construction materials is available:
for the pump head:
stainless steel, hastelloy, Alloy 20, PVC, PP, PVDF, PTFE.;
for the diaphragms:
elastomers such as NBR, FPM, EPDM, PTFE coated elastomers, pure PTFE
and metals. |

Mechanical Diaphragm
Azero-leakage solution, safe and economical for low pressure dosing
applications. Mechanical diaphragm pumps are available with multi-layers
PTFE diaphragms and plastic or stainless steel pump heads.
Hydraulic
Diaphragm
Combining the advantages of volumetric pumps with the seal-less nature
of diaphragms, hydraulic diaphragm pumps offer the solution to many
dosing needs, when the pumping conditionsand thefluids are hazardous
ordifficult. Bono Exacta designs and manufactures pump heads with
single and doublé diaphragm.
The principle of the doublé
diaphragm either with intermediate liquid or sandwich type offers
several advantages:
• Doublé barrier between the pumped and the hydraulic
fluids.
• The hydraulic fluid could be chosen to be compatible with
the pumped medium.
• The flow path on the process chamber is always clear, sincethe
movementof the process diaphragm is controlled by the hydraulic diaphragm
and its contour plate. The process side diaphragm cannot strike the
pump head, thus avoiding the risk of its tearing or mechanically wearing.
This is an ideal solution for liquids containing solids or abrasive
particles. The sandwich diaphragm offers the advantage of a more compact
construction, with two parallel diaphragms installed without intermediate
liquid; even if one diaphragm ruptures the second one ensures the
pump operation.

Diaphragm Rupture Detection
The working life of a hydraulic actuated diaphragm is very long and
an accidental rupture quite rare, however the importance of certain
critical applications requires a protection against a possible rupture.
Two types of diaphragm rupture detector are available:
Sandwich Diaphragm:
undernormal operating conditions, there is no pressure between the two
parallel diaphragms. If one of the two diaphragm leaks, an over-pressure
isdetected. The detection can be visual via a pressure gauge or automatic
via a pressure switch.
Sandwich Diaphragm:
undernormal operating conditions, there is no
pressure between the two parallel diaphragms. If one of the two diaphragm
leaks, an over-pressure isdetected. The detection can be visual via
a pressure gauge or automatic via a pressure switch.
|
|
 |
|
Diaphragm with Intermediate Liquid:
a conductivity probe is installed on the intermediate chamber; even
in case of a small leak the conductivity of the intermediate liquid
is modified and the variation immediately spotted. This solution is
the most efficiënt, when pumping liquids with suspended solids,
that could block the sandwich diaphragm.

MULTIPLE-HEADED
DOSING GROUPS
All Bono Exacta pumps have been designed following a modular concept,
that allows the assembly of multiple-
headed units, even with pumps of different sizes and
performances.
The group is run by the same drive, whilst the flow rate of each pump
head can be individuallyadjusted either manually or automatically.
