Centrifugal pumps FP and FPE
Universal, gentle fluid handling, robust, low-maintenance, long life, economic - Fristam centrifugal pumps are the optimal solution for any pumping task.

Fristam offers a modern range of centrifugal pumps which is systematically aimed at the products and pumping tasks of users.
Fristam FP/FPE pumps are solely equipped with open impellers which are unsurpassed in hygienic applications. Customized stainless steel alloys and solid components with minimum wall thicknesses of 6mm provide the ideal basis for problem-free operation. The Fristam FP/FPE design principle guarantees high levels of efficiency:

Minimal secondary flow and an flow optimized pumping channel handle the fluid gently and minimize warming. The fluids pumped may contain air or other gas, be homogeneous or contain additives; and viscosities up to 1,200 mPas also are no problem.
Low NPSH levels also permit use under unfavorable intake conditions.
The extremely low-vibration running of the Fristam FP/FPE pumps supports the high reliability and long life of the mechanical seals. Double mechanical seals make the pumps suitable for operation under vacuum conditions and prevent damage to the product by contamination as well as environmental pollution due to product emissions. Fristam FP/FPE pumps of course, can be cleaned-in-place and sterilized.

- flow rates up to 500 m3/h

Selfpriming centrifugal pumps FZ
The universal solution for high suction, even with gas containing products
.

The self-priming Fristam FZ pumps operate on the side channel principle: impellers with radially arranged blades in conjunction with the hydrodyn-mically optimized side channels transfer the pressure energy to the medium being pumped. Very small packed sealing gaps ensure excellent suction capacities which both allow the suction pipes to be vented and also make it possible to pump products with entraint air. This optimises the draining of residue in cleaning processes. Short priming time prevents long of product residues dwell times.

Sizes FZ
- 5 sizes
- for system pressures up to 15 bar
- discharge pressures up to 4.8 bar
- flow rates up to 55 m3/h

Multistage centrifugal pumps FM
Reliable pumping at high pressures

The Fristam FM pumps were specially developed for creating high pressures and for operation under exceptional pressure loads. The pressure increase takes place in several consecutive pumping stages.
The capability to increase pressure to 30 bar and system pressure capacity of up to 60 bar make them ideal for use under particularly severe pressure
conditions and in special processes such as feeding filters, heat exchangers, fillers, as well as circulation and pressure boosting in ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis systems.

Circumferential piston pumps FK
Optimum suction capability, high discharge pressure and most gentle product handling.

Fristam FK pumps are circumferential piston pumps for exceptional pumping requirements. The area seal principle between the pistons, the casing with fixed hub and the cover allows for extremely efficient product pumping.
The special design of the contra-rotating circumferential pistons ensures that the product is not squeezed or damaged when displaced.
Fristam FK pumps can be optimized with single-blade rotors when pumping extremely shear sensitive products. They are fully suitable for CIP and SIP.
The hub is part of the casing, allowing:
- high suction capability
- high viscosities (up to ? mPas)
- soft suspended solids

Fristam FK circumferential piston pumps are used, for example, for foodstuffs in biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry. They are particularly suitable for products containing large pieces.

Sizes FK
- 7 sizes
- discharge pressures up to 20 bar
- flow rates up to 40 nf/h

Circumferential piston pumps FKL
High suction capability, high speed and high pressure

The Fristam circumferential piston pump series FKL displays unbeatable design features. The casing and cover engage into the pistons at both ends, creating an all-round area seal which reduces product slip to a minimum. Even at high pressure, there is no distortion of the FKL rotors due to their symmetrical shape. In addition, the reinforced shaft construction prevents them from bending. The fixed bearing arrangement stops any axial shift occurring.

Fristam FKL Pumps are fully suitable for CIP and SIP.
Thanks to these convincing features, Fristam FKL circumferential piston pumps are used in areas such as the pharmaceutical, cosmetics industries and the food industry, where high suction capabilities and/or high discharge pressures up to 30 bar are required.
Casing and cover engage into the pistons at both ends, which means:
- high speed
- high pressure
- no axial shift
- no distortion

Sizes FKL
- 8 sizes
- discharge pressures up to 30 bar
- flow rates up to 120 m3/h

Rotary lobe pumps FL
The new Fristam design permits economic pumping of high flows, handling the product gently.

Fristam FL pumps have a modern, new piston design. The non-contacting, contra-rotating lobes combine, due to their geometry, the advantages of the area seal of the pistons against the casing/ cover with the line seal between the pistons.

High precision and close tolerances lead to narrow packed sealing gaps which only permit minimal backflow and in this way guarantee high levels of efficiency.
The shape of the Fristam pistons prevents the medium for being squashed and ensures a non-destructive displacement process. The Fristam FL pump is therefore particularly suited to use with:
- homogeneous products
- low suction heads
- discharge pressures up to 12 bar
- viscosities up to 100,000 mPas
The reliability and long life of the Fristam eccentric mechanical shaft seal prevent environment pollution due to product emissions and damage to the product due to contamination.
Fristam FL lobe pumps are completely suitable for the CIP method and can be sterilized. They can be supplied either with a heating jacket or a cooling jacket and with horizontal or vertical port.

Sizes FL
- 8 sizes
- discharge pressures up to 12 bar
- flow rates up to 70 m3/h

Nutating disc pump Genta
The Genta pump has unique features which combine maximum reliability with gentleness in product pumping and suitability for sterile processes.

The Fristam Genta nutating disc pump combines the following successful features:
- exceptionally gentle product handling
- maintenance of sterile process conditions over a long period
- low pulsation
- process reliability and easy monitoring

The special movement of the nutating disc in the Genta pump creates a peristaitic-like displacement, which results in a constant and gentle product flow. Since the product is first directed through the side chambers of the nutating disc, no dead zones arise. The sterile section of the Genta is separated from the outside by a double seal: An EPDM diaphragm and a metal bellow seal off the side chamber of the drive. The space between dia phragm and metal bellow is filled with a liquid that is compatible with the product so that the diaphragm is not exposed to any mechanical stress. Both seals work independently so that any damage of the seals does not cause a loss of sterility.

Sizes Genta
- 2 sizes
- nominal pressure up to 5 bar
- flow rate up to 130 l/min

Shearpumps FSPE
The economic way to homogenize, disperse, emulsify and dissolve and consistently achieve the highest quality every time.

This new method of mixing is based on the proven centrifugal pumps of the Fristam FP range. Instead of the impeller, a rotor/stator system operating at tip speeds of up to 38/s draws inhomogene-ous media through shearing clearances of only 0.3 mm. The extremely high flow rates in this system and shear rate of 125,000 1/s enable the finest, high-performance blending of multiphase products.
The Shearpump's advantages may seem contradictory:
- also suitable for highly viscous materials
- minimal space requirement
- easy to integrate
- handles highly variable batch sizes
- constantly high and repeat-able product quality
- short amortization time

Sizes FSPE
- 7 sizes
- capacities up to 40 m3 / h
- viscosities up to 90.000 mPa s
